[3G] Will you switch to AT&T when it comes ?
When the 3G Iphone arrives will you switch over to AT&T or stay with the carrier you have now? I'm on T-Mobile now but seeing as how they use a different 3G I think I will end up switching over to the dark side. Sucks cause my phone bill is alot cheaper now.

Well you live where att is in coverage. Here in australia we dont have att, so we dont have much of a choice...........

Same here, I travel to many places without an authorized carrier and/or 3G network. It makes sense for me to keep my setup as is [1.1.4 (1.1.2 OTB)] pwned.

Obviously the 3G iphone is going to be compatible with more than just AT&T's 3G. European carriers, for example, have much more widespread 3G than edge, so it's definitely worth an upgrade there.
In the US, however, you are correct, AT&T will be the only option, it's up to you whether you want to sell your soul. BTW, this is coming from someone who's been on ATT since day one, I just couldn't wait for the unlock

Of course not. It's not worth switching carriers just for a phone (even the iPhone), and if my past experience with AT&T is any indication, it's never worth switching to them.

SO lets say the 3G iphone gets unlocked, will it be usable with all the 3G carriers around the world?
-
is 3g backwards compatible with edge?
