After my husband heard about the price cut last night, he made it his mission, since his office is located across the street from a Mac store, to get a refund. He went in and spoke with the manager this afternoon insisting that he was dead set on getting a refund. He also expressed to her that he had spoken very highly of the product and had recommended it to many of our colleagues, and because he works in the computer industry, to his co-workers as well, and that if he didn't receive a refund, he would never buy another Apple product or endorse them again. 20 minutes later, he walked out with our $200.00 refund.

The manager was reluctant to give us a refund because we purchased on the opening weekend, and made it a point to let us know she was doing this as a "favor" to us. Just wanted to let you guys know, maybe going down to the store, might make a difference.

I bought mine 33 days ago. Received $214 back to my credit card. Spoke nicely to a regular Apple Store floor rep and he did it as a "one time" gesture. I thanked hime profusely and went on my way.

I don't want to sound rude but I don't get how anyone who bought it on opening day feels that they MUST get the refund. You pay the price for buying early.

However, I just bought my 4GB so I get to go back to the AT&T Store on Saturday and exchange it for an 8GB + $100.

I don't think anyone would think you're rude for voicing your opinion, after all it's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I think it's just a matter of asking for what you feel you should get.

Business is Business. And it's not like, it's coming out of the manager's pocket. If we hadn't gotten the refund, well then, we wouldn't have. No harm no foul. It wouldn't be the end of the world.

Ultimately, all that matters is that we got our $210. I will continue to enjoy my iPhone like I have for the past two months, AND in the future I would continue to purchase Apple products.
