Default [2.0.x] Audiobook causing slowness. Any other book users?

I have a reproducible bug in my iPhone. I downgraded from 2.0.1 to 1.1.4 and the bug went away, then upgraded again when 2.0.2 came out and the bug came back. So this is a bug in 2.0.x firmware. I can replicate this 100% of the time.

The bug is that when listening to Audiobooks made with Audiobook Builder 1.0.10. When listening to audiobooks, the whole iPhone is slow. This causes "super slow keyboard" in SMS. Sometimes the phone does a soft crash, and resets my audiobook playback position (grrr...) and volume level. Pausing the audiobook doesn't help - still slow as long as "Now Playing" is on the audiobook. Playing back a non-audiobook file does help - it speeds up the phone.

Anyone else have this problem? I haven't QA'd this yet. Here are my next moves in case someone else is working on this - or if someone else can comment on any of these:

    1. Find out if smaller audiobooks help
Options: 5 hour limit on books, try different bitrates and frequencies
Reason: Audiobook builder is very easy to use - the best way I've found to make audiobooks and I'd prefer to stick with this program.

    2. Find out if it's iPhone or Audiobook Builder 1.0.10
I'll create an audiobook using a different program to see if that helps

    3. Try non-audiobook format
If neither of the above works, I'll try regular MP3 or AAC files with "remember playback position" on. Not convenient.

    4. Other ideas?

Apple discussion doesn't have much that I found. I'll report a bug once I find what's causing it, but figured this community will help faster than the Apple community

    Thanks!

#1 seems to have fixed the issue. I was creating audiobooks at 64kbps, 44.1 khz, stereo, which caused slowness. Adjusting this to the "normal" value in Audiobook Builder (64 Kbps, Mono, 32 kHz) fixed the issue. Strange.
