i guess the o2 method is a bit diff. we got the first screen then it went on the activate the phone. it seems ok.

Ok...I am living in Ireland with a 1.1.4 phone with o2 PAYG sim. I imported my phone frm the us and so have an official at&t sim. Would it b possible for me to use this method with my AT&T sim and then use my o2 Ireland payg sim since they are the official carrier here in Ireland?

hey whoever succeeded in getting activation done via us please help us out i have been on it from the past 24 hours without sleep i can unlock it(Super Sim) but just cant activate the damn thing

i just went and bought an o2 prepaid card to try it, itunes says that sim card is not valid or w/e it said i don't remember. Was thinking the exact thing you were. Doesn't work

I just tried it but it asks you for the AT&T phone number and me being in Canada on Rogers, I don't have one... iTunes doesn't accept my Rogers SIM card either but it's a few years old.

I am getting the same here in Mexico. I think this only works for UK's iphones (they have been released and now 2.5G iphones can be activated under pay as you go, so that may be the reason).
