    Default [2.0] Fido APN settings?

hello again and thanks for your time...

so i went through and got the 30/6 plan and was working on trying to get the apn settings in as it says i'm not subscribed to a data service. so i took off the files i needed to on the phone... got the cellular data network option in general and i put in

    apn fido.internet.ca
    username fido
    password fido

and it stillsays i'm not subscribed to the cellular data network...

    what do i do?

with firmware 2.0, you do not input the carrier data settings manually. When you pair the phone with iTunes for the first time, it detects what sim you are using and automatically set the data settings for that carrier (in your case, fido).

^ what he said, if you want to use it manually thru a website (its somewhere on this site) its internet.fido.ca not fido.internet.ca

    Hi,

So they did sign you up for a 6Gb plan with non rogers certified phone?

Interesting! Yesterday I've spoken with a Rogers' rep, and they said, that yes, I can have 6Gb of traffic for 30 dollars, however .. (!!!) They CAN NOT guarantee that I will not be billed at 5 cents a Kb for a CERTAIN use...

Tried to find out what is that "CERTAIN" use they are talking about, but they didn't tell...

Oh, and did you have to extend your subscription for another three years with this data package you signed up for?

    Thank you

I think they are saying that to cover their butts, because this is just a bucket of data for your to use, at the release it was supposedly available to any phone but since now it says only iphone and fido/rogers phones on their site they have to give you that disclaimer.
