Can someone please confirm whether our current soft-jailbreak method works on the 16GB iPhone? Has anyone tried to downgrade to v1.1.1 (for a jailbreak) ? If it works, please confirm. If it doesn't work, please post summary so we can work on a solution.

EDIT: I'm not concerned about unlocking, but functionality on AT&T or other approved network.

Look.. The 16GB iPhone comes with 1.1.3 OTB. Which means it can't be jailbreaked. And no, you can't downgrade it to 1.1.1 because the bootloader is 4.6, and no you can't downgrade that either atm.

If you'd just -look- at the forum you would have found this answer three million times already

113 OTB (on the 8GB models) can be downgraded just fine, and even jailbroken back up to 113, but will only function with approved networks (e.g. no unlock). I'm trying to figure out if the same works for the 16gb models.

Please don't post if you do not have a 16GB phone and cannot provide anything more than ignorant speculation.

My friend got 16gb IPHONE can be downgraded AS like in 1.1.3 OTB 8gb, ITS THE SAME!!

now you can have even more expensive itouch with camera =p...hope someone find solution to use as cellphone

you really are wrong. You can not downgrade 1.1.3 otb. That bootloader (4.6) has not been hacked.

I think you should search harder. OTB 1.1.3 CAN be downgraded to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 and jailbroken then softupdated back to 1.1.3, where you can use installer.app and install programs. What we CANT do yet is use any of the phone functions (ie SMS and calls), so you've basically got an iPod Touch. Also NerveGas is a developer and knows what he's talking about.
