Default [1.1.4] [Solved] Voicemail Red Dot doesn't disappear

Still new to the iPhone so perhaps there is a simple solution to this....

I get that stupid red dot over my voicemail tab (indicating new voicemail) but it won't go away after i check, and delete my messages. Its really annoying because now i don't know if i actually have a new voice message or not. Anyone know how to fix this? And sorry if it has been asked before, i skimmed through the forum but couldn't find anything.

    thanks guys

EDIT: i guess i should have mentioned that i'm using my iPhone on Rogers here in canada and the firmware installed on it is v 1.14

Hey Irish, I had the same problem a few weeks ago eh! I called Rogers and requested a series 4000 SIM and presto problem solved.

Look at your sim card. There is a 20 digit number that is printed on the SIM card. If your number is xxxxxxxx4000xxxxxxxx then u have a series 4000 SIM card.

    Cheers! eh!

Apparently i have a 4000 sim already, thats the middle number anyways. Did they charge you for a new sim card, maybe ill try getting one anyways.

To the jash's reply, yes my carrier supports voicemail. I've had this voicemail box running for years on prior phones i owned.

I concur with Irish. I used to have the same irritating problem until i went to a T-Mobile store and replaced my old SIM card with a 5000-series SIM. Problem went away immediately.
