Unfortunately, like I said before, if I switch my sim to another (non iPhone) phone, the messages are properly stamped.

Does turning off "Set Automatically" in General>Date & Time work?

When you click on OFF it will expand to manual controls.

Nope. Tries that already and it doesn't help. Strange.

I updated to 1.1.4 and it worked like a charm! Try restoring to 1.1.4. I tried setting my phone to the Pacific time zone )4 hours behind mine and that did the trick too. I also didn't let the time get set automatically.

    Hope this helped.

it was working fine on my phone (jailbroken with the modified for 114 ziphone, and then unlocked with some iclarified method through installer), but had to restore, now i used iplus 2.0b (nicer ) and i have the timestamp 3 hours behind again

also, a friend had no problem until last sunday that our country changed time cause if daylight savings... but my phone was fine until i restored (i had used iplus 2.0 on his phone )

    edit: xisco's fix worked
