Got A Problem where when I am in my sms app the phone just all of a sudden reverts to Black screen in stanby mode meaning I need to slide to unlock again. Funny thing is if this happens whilst I am sending a text message the message still goes through (I even hear the little sound telling it sent) but the screen goes black. I tried searching for this problem but could not find a definitive answer. Used Ziphone to unlock and Jailbreak (I know, I Know, but when I used it Iplus wan't out yet) and since have used bootneuter to go back to my original 4.6 bootloader (Although I cant see how that would have any bearing on my sms app).

update your phone again to 1.1.4 it wont erease anything but will fix your problems. are you on att or another carrier? is it unlocked or jailbroken?

As I said in my first post I have an unlocked and jailbroken iphone. I would rather not restore and have to load all my apps again but if this is a problem that ziphone might have created then I just might do it (iliberty or pwn).

I can't be the only one having this problem... Can I?

No, I have the same problem! Do you know how fo fix this??

My iphone is so slow... Tu turn on 30sec and not to mention that is always crashing....

Well, I guess it just you and me buddy. The only thing I can think of is restoring and jailbreaking again with different method. I have also used customize to change the color of the sms bubbles maybe thats whats doing it.... although I cant see how.

The same with me.
But it also crashes when I'm writing the message.

that's the problem alright. Whenever you are in the SMS app, whether writing a message, sending, or just hanging about the screen turns black just like you told the phone to go to standby mode... But you didn't. Does anyone know of a fix for this though???? Also I never experienced this pre 1.1.3/4 on my first iPhone.

x98car Updating won't erase your apps, restoring will.

The sms crashing is probably due to appsupport not being patched.

To patch appsupport, go to installer to the iclarified source (http://installer.iClarified.com) Install appsupport for your firmware (1.1.2;1.1.3;1.1.4)

I actually have applied the appsupport patch (and have been applying tims patches before they were even on iclarified) so thats not the problem. Also if I remember correctly updating may not erase my apps but it does take them off the springboard so they have to be reinstalled. Also exactly how am I supposed to update if I am already on 1.1.4? Thanks anyway though.
