[1.1.4 OTB] Itunes wont detect Iphone after Leopard Update
Hi, I have an Iphone 16GB FW 1.1.4
I recently updated my osx to Leopard and now Itunes simply doens't detect my Iphone.
When I plug it in, Iphoto opens and shows me my Iphone pics and recognize the device, but Itunes simply doens't detect it.
I tried to put it to recovery mod just to see if it is detected by Itunes, and, IT IS, but not in normal mode...
What do you guys think I should do?
Please, help me guys.

Hey buddy, welcome to the forums, have a nice time here!!
Ok now down to bussiness....
looks like you may have to restore the phone:
Just hold down the sleep wake button and the home button, until you see the apple logo, then let go off the sleep/wake button and keep holding the home button.
this should now be in recover mode!
now plug the iphone in and restore the iphone in to 1.1.4 (or any other firmware)
once done it will be locked! (no shit)
then use ziphone to unlock and activate!!
enjoy !!

The thing is, If do restore and unlock again, in the unlock process I'll loose my contacts.

when was the last time you sync'd your iphone ??
if it was about 1-2 days ago, its not gonna be lost.
i promise.
one your phone is restored, it will ask you to activate with O2 or tell you you have a dodjy sim in your phone.
when you run ziphone and the whole unlock process is done, take the phone out and wack it in again, itunes will pop up and ask you "WOULD YOU LIKE TO RESTORE A BACK UP OF ........... iPhone"
hit and you sorted, ive done this millions of times mate. happy hacking

I just clicked to restore it, and after "preparing iphone to restore" there is an error:
"the Iphone "IPHONE" could not be restored. An unknown error ocurred (1604)"
now it only goes to the restore mode... What happend... OMG?

I just used Zibris 2.5 to refurbish it, but instead of that It just sort of "desbricked" his error, now I have my phone working again. Still iphoto detecting it, but Itunes not.

you try dfu mode and switching cables you could also try resetting all settings from the phone

turn up your computer speakers while the phone is docked in, hold the home plus the power button till the screen goes blank and you hear a sound cue from your computer right after that cue hold just the home button until you hear another sound cue and itunes says the phone is in dfu mode and needs to be restored or if you have ziphone unclick every option except dfu mode and have ziphone put it in dfu mode
-
is this DFU the same of RESTORE mod?
