[1.1.4] Indonesia > Fixed Number Dialing Active
Hi,
I'm currently in Indonesia trying to us Indosat Matrix network. Whenever I insert the SIM card I get the message "Fixed Number Dialing Active" (FW 1.1.4 BL 3.9, 04.04.05_G) and cannot make any calls i.e., no service/signal level. If I use my Hong Kong Sim Card or UK Virgin Sim Card I can make/reveice calls.
I also have the same issue on my wifes iPhone (FW 1.1.3, BL 4.6, 04.03.13_G).
Can anyone help?

yes, i can help you out
i got the same problem when using IM3 sim card, previously i used XL and XL was fine, then one day I switched to indosat im3 and then i got that 'fixed number dialing active' message and as you can guessed already, i can't use my iphone to call or sms. iphone can't even detect the carrier.
well, i read from some threads that you have go back to indosat gallery to exchange the sim card, hell, no need to do this. the solution is just to deactivate fixed dialing feature.
this is how:
1. you need another gsm phone, in my case i used motorola SLVR L7
2. insert your indosat (im3, matrix, mentari) into your gsm phone (not in iphone).
3. as i used motorola L7, i went to setting --> initial setup --> 1 touch dial --> then set the option to phone.
that's it, then remove your sim card from your 'other gsm phone' and put it into your iphone
the next time you turn your iphone on, the 'fixed number dialing active' message was gone, and you are good to go.
mine so far no problem, for making calls, sms and even EDGE service was great.
hope that this solution worked for you too.
nb: different mobile phone have different settings to deactivate fixed dialing feature, see manuals or search google how to deactivate fixed dialing

[1.1.4] Indonesia > Fixed Number Dialing Active
Hi there,
I deactivated the fixed dialing mode on my other phone.
Still my indosat matrix card shows that "fixed dialing active" message.
Any other idea what I can do?
Thank's for any kind of help.

hi, I am matrix user, it was also my problem, the card you are using is not compatible with iPhone (there is code IM in the card).
just go to indosat gallery, ask to change the card with one that iphone compatible (having code WD).
my problem solved.
