Default [1.1.4] How should I restore?

    Hi all,

I have a 112 OTB iphone which was upgraded to 114 about 3 weeks ago via Ziphone 3.0.

However, I'm having problems with this firmware in that the phone will frequently goes to sleep when I try to run programs such as the iPod, SMS, video etc. It's not a big deal as I only need to press the home button to turn it on again and it'll work as normal. Still I'm not happy with this and will like to redo the installation again.

Can someone advise the best and cleanest way around this? Should I do a shift restore and restore back to 114 ipsw or should I just press the restore button from iTunes and it restore (will that brick the phone?) from iTunes? Should I use Ziphone 2.4 instead of 3.0?

Ziphone has downgraded my Bootloader to 3.9

    Thanks.

Download the 1.1.4 firmware (search this site)

Shift restore to 1.1.4 in iTunes

Use the Pwnage tool or iLiberty

Pwnage tool will place the bootneuter app on your springboard.
You can use it to flash your bootloader to 4.6 if you desire.

If you prefer iLiberty to J/A/U, bootneuter can be used after

This site has seen it's share of problems with Zi~phoney.
Read Spinstorms' Pwnage FAQ before attempting to use pwnage.

    Hope this helps

Another problem surfaced. This is still the Ziphone 114 I'm using. My battery died on me even when it's on sleep mode.

Gosh it seems like Ziphone is really buggy!

Thanks for the advice and warning against Ziphone. The thing is I don't have a Mac and is running Windows. Since PWNAGE is till beta on Windows I'm a little apprehensive about using it for now.

I've been waiting for PWNAGE to step out of beta so that I can redo this again but it would seems like I'll have to wait a while long and bear with these Ziphone problems in the meantime. Sigh!

Use iplus/iLiberty+. It works on Windows PC platform.

But I've read that it's generally not safe to use iPlus/iLiberty after using Ziphone due to the difference in the way both methods jailbreak, activate and unlock the iPhone no?

My bootloader is forcefully downgraded to 3.9 from ziphone (I didn't know that it does that since the options were hidden by default). In any case, I'm worried that using iPlus now might cause more damage than what it is now since it uses 3.9FB (and things I'm ignorant of) ?

I do know that iPlus is better than Ziphone though. I only realised that after using Ziphone.
