Default [1.1.4] Here we go again!

I dont want to rant, and sound like some old twisted forum troll but please tell me that we are not going to be subjected to yet another avalanche of-
    I upgraded to 1.1.4 and I cant:
    receive calls
    change my carrier logo
    blah blah blah

I can understand why someone would want to upgrade to 1.1.3, it had some cool new features. But from what I can see 1.1.4 has nothing.

I LOVE this forum because it is where I can find out about new apps, read guides, and find out how to solve problems, and I can accept that much of the threads I see are support questions, but do we really need a bunch more for a firmware that does not do anything.......yet

I heard it has an updated baseband that gives you increased signal strength. Can anyone confirm?

Honestly, I update for the bug fixes, not new features so much. Here we are at 1.1.3 and I still am getting my fair share of minor frustrations. Mine loves to transform into a battery powered hot plate every once and a while, not so great when its in your pocket. MobileSafari still can't switch between tabs without refreshing automatically (and randomly, evidently there's some sort of a timeout, it's not helping). As a matter of fact, my signal quality took a pretty large hit after i updated to 1.1.3.

I like to keep current, Apple wouldnt release an update for nothing. Besides, I wouldn't put it past them to make 1.1.4 mandatory if you want to run SDK created apps.

I could understand your refusal if you had to spend hours downgrading, jailbreaking, unlocking and upgrading but it's like 10 minutes and most of that you're sitting there waiting for it to do its thing.

I don't know, but for me and my partner, our phones on 1.1.3 were buggy and had crashes often. Likely due to the illegit "soft updates". With 1.1.4 I was able to restore the entire phone using 1.1.4, no soft updating. Much more stable thus far.
