    Default 1.1.4 to 2.0.x.. iTunes error 1604

My friend updated her 1.1.4 to 2.0.2 but now stuck on recovery mode. Using iTunes, get an error 1604 in both DFU and normal Restore. Read up and found out that you have to go back to 1.1.4 first and then upgrade to 2.0.2. My questions are..

    1) Do I have to downgrade the basebad to 1.1.4 baseband first and then upgrade or can I just leave it as the 2.0 baseband?

    2) Do I have to pwn 1.1.4 first or can I just upgrade using the update button in iTunes and then use QuickPwn and BootNeuter to Jailbreak/Unlock.

    Thanks!

are you using a pwned custom firmware? if so you needa make the root partition bigger then normal. i didn't change it at first and was getting 1604 error over n over again. so i made another custom firmware with 750mb on the root partition and it restored fine.
