Default [1.1.4] [1.1.2 OTB] Exchange Server check every 15 minutes [HELP]

wondering if anyone can spread some light on this.

The iphone is set to check for new email every 15 minutes - using the exchange mail settings.

The strange thing is that it does not check every 15 minutes, its completely random, sometime is can be 2-3 hours or even 6 hours overnight, the fact is that it does check for mail itself but not every 15 minutes.

I have reset all setting on the iphone, no luck.

We have 3 iphone users in the company in UK (mine being the only 1.1.4 - and this was iplus'ed so has BL 3.9FB)

There is one USA version 1.1.2 otb which has a bladox chip and is running 1.1.3, now this is the person who is next to me and this phone every 15 minutes goes 'pong' and gets email. (slightly annoying as mine doesnt)

There is another which is UK 1.1.2 otb which is 1.1.3 Ziphoned (but without BL downgrade), this has the same problem - completely random maybe an hour maybe 5 hours, but it does check.

All three work fine if you get mail manually, the thing is what i really dont understand is that it does go and get mail but just not via its schedule, so its not a problem with wifi.

I was wondering if using insomnia would help but it doesnt just drains the battery real quick.

Its also not the fact that i dont get any email - when i maunally connect therre is normally about 20 mail waiting for me.

I know that waiting until june may be my only option when we get activesync but if anyone could shed any light on this i would much appreciate it.

    thanks for quick response Law,

does net services work on 1.1.4 - i thought it was for 1.1.1

also have tried a restore, same thing

could you let me know why i would want to turn mail fetch off - the whole idea is that i want to get my mail every 15 minutes

(i had a P990 before iphone and although it was the worst phone every created by mankind the mail function actually worked)

the reason why i suggest turring mail fetch off is so that it would stop the eraddict checking of mail and you could check it maually yea i know its a pain but sometimes you can trust a person better than a machine, or you could turn it off and try setting it back on from the options screen yourself and see what happens
