1.1.3 ZiPhone Jailbreak only - no signal on boot?
I've done a 1.1.3 ZiPhone jailbreak & activated in itunes (I've a proper o2 iphone sim) and every time I reboot the phone gets no signal. I have to put it into airplane mode and back to get signal.
Anyone else have this problem - or even better a solution?
I've managed to fix it by turning the SIM pin off but I would prefer to have it on..
I have the same issue. No signal
jailbreak/activate only with ATT sim on a week 37 8gb iPhone
I have tried signal.app and it doesn't help either
With this ziphone jb, wifi and edge seem a bit flakey too - have to go to airplane mode and back to get safari / maill working sometimes too.. Generally when the phones been in standby mode for a long period
I think its an activation issue... what you need to do is restore your phone in iTunes and when the phone reboots unplug it from the cradle so iTunes doesn't activate it... then exit iTunes and use ZiPhone to Jailbreak only... afterwards connect back to iTunes and allow it to Activate normally!

Cheers for that thought Stewcp!
Inspired by your comment I set about resetting the lockdown activation files back to 'out of the box' - but trying to keep all my other content. It seems to have worked - I have SIM pin on and rebooted and the phone got signal! Yipee! Wifi seems a lot more stable now too.. No more safari unable to connect to site errors..
1. Turn off passcode (or itunes can't activate for some reason)
2. SSH in delete the following files (may want to backup the whole Lockdown dir before you do this!):
/private/var/root/Library/Lockdown/activation_records/* (keep the directory, delete the files)
/private/var/root/Library/Lockdown/pair_records/* (keep the directory, delete the files)
3. Reboot phone
4. Connect to itunes and let it activate
