Question [1.1.3] Time Zone issue - any solutions?

Having updated to 1.1.3 using the Dev Team Jailbreak, I've just noticed that my time zone seems to be out!? All emails & text are about 8 hours behind time... I live in the UK and in World time it shows 16:00hrs when its actually 10:00am !!!

I know its been mentioned in previous posts, but I'm not aware of any solutions!

Any thoughts on the matter/fixes would be appreciated?

In terminal it shows this: Mon Jan 28 10:23:00 GMT+8 2008
The GMT is wrong... so it would seem that setting London, England in the Time Zone doesn't save...

Is there something that can be edited?

EDIT: Ok, this seems to be a problem with 1.1.3 itself and is covered on the apple website: http://discussions.apple.com/thread....08641&#6408641

Strange. After the upgrade my phone defaulted back to PST, but my timezone remained Paris. To correct, I simply changed the time and date back and everything switched back to normal.

Apples fix appears to be a complete restore... which is something us Jailbreaked users can't do!!!

I wonder if the problem started here... for me, the first time I tried to put 1.1.3 on it went wrong and I had to start from fresh... so downgraded to 1.1.1, then upgraded 1.1.2... now I know by default the time zone is set to Cupertino, USA... and I think when I upgraded (jailbreaked) to 1.1.3, I never set the time zone in 1.1.2 to London, England... so, maybe the upgrade hard sets the time zone some how... because no matter what I set it as, I'm always GMT+8 which I think is the time zone of Cupertino, USA?

You could be right. I upgraded to 1.1.3 and downgraded back to 1.1.2...but I did set the time zone to London. I've now upgraded back to 1.1.3 and my time zones work.

This is a 1.1.3 issue... you only get that option in 1.1.1/1.1.2? not 1.1.3
