Default [1.1.3] Suddenly goes to restore mode

I searched for this but didnt see it anywhere, and Im trying to see if there is a solution before I do a full recover and start over.

I helped my friend upgrade from 1.1.1 > 1.1.2 and then do the Installer.app install of the dev teams 1.1.3.

Everything worked fine and he was using the phone as normal. Then this morning he did a hard restart after noticing his Installer wasnt working right. When the system restarted it was in recovery mode. asking him to plug into iTunes, then his iTunes popped up telling him it found an iPhone in recovery mode.

Is there any fix for this other than recovering to 1.1.1 and starting over to jailbreak and unlock?

    Thanks everyone!

Same here, I'm back to 1.1.1 until the update is more stable

You can boot the phone out of recovery mode using iBrikr (on WinXP) or inDependance (on OS X) and you'll be back with 1.1.3 unlocked still - the only problem being that next time you hard reset you'll be inrecovery mode again

There's currently no permanent fix as far as I can tell, but there are several other threads discussing this problem so if you find a solution be sure to let everyone know! See here:

    Hello,

This occurs because the 'official' jailbreak also breaks the partition scheme. The 'Nate' jailbreak solution does not do that, and thus does not have that problem.

You will encounter the problem very quickly as soon as you start adding applications with installer.

The solution is easy: just move your Applications to the mobile account and symlink to it from root.

If you don't know how to do that, use the search function.

This isn't the problem - I already had about 42Mb free on the system partition (I removed the Chinese font files & foreign language dictionaries to make space for more applications). My phone still reboots into recovery mode. Last night MobileCast crashed and reset my phone when I wasn't near my computer...

i was already using this fix when this happened to my phone. (i was browsing safari and using my ipod at the same time when it crashed so i did a hard reset and always ended up with the recovery screen)

i had to go back to 1.1.1 and now i am staying with 1.1.2 will update to 1.1.3 when the message in installer doesnt say that its only recommended for developers to upgrade to 1.1.3
BTW i was using the dev team jail break for 113 when this happened
