    Hello,

What you are reporting is interesting. It differs from my experiences... I have two iphones. One of them is updated via Nate"s method, and the other via the "Official" method (whatever official might mean here... )

The phone updated with Nate's method has NOT showed this problem at all. Ever. It runs very well and very predictably. I did a few tweaks here and there to fix minor things, but it never crashed on me.

The phone updated with the "official" scripts crashed in DFU mode less than 24 hours after the update. It had a few applications installed (very little) and when I tried to find out why it crashed into DFU mode, I discovered that the 300 MB partition was actually full (0 bytes left), and not 300 MB at all. Of course, having the root partition full on any OS is really bad. It WILL cause problems very rapidly, it will probably lead to OS instability, yada yada yada... I am actually happy that the phone simply went into panic (DFU mode) wihtout further damaging the file system.

So, I rebooted carefully out of DFU mode (was lucky there), and as fast as I could (because when the root is full, the clock ticks and you must be fast) , I transported the Applications to the user partition, HOPING that the OS internal files were not too corrupted. Rebooted, and prayed. The phone has been working very well since then, with no crash at all.

As far as I am concerned, that phone is now fixed.

Now: why would your phones still crash after the move of the Apps to the user partition? I don't know. Did you make sure you moved the Apps, and not simply copied them? Make sure you have ample space left on the root partition. Did you make sure you moved the Apps BEFORE it crashed the first time (probably not...). If not, then the first crash might have corrupted some internal OS files. I was lucky this did not happen to me.

The positive thing is my experience of "Phone crashed into DFU mode" and "Phone runs well" with a clear "before" and "after" situation.

Also, it is not impossible that something is unstable in the stock 1.1.3 distro (it DOES have bugs, you know e.g. the time zones problem) and Apple will fix it in 1.1.3+, later. But both my phones work quite well today, so I would tend to believe there is no such instability.

BTW i was using the dev team jail break for 113 when this happened
    I got the same problem.

How did you reverted it back to 1.1.1?

i got same problems here, my root partition has like 22mb free, so tehre was plenty of room and i've installed like only 4 apps.

but now i'm stuck in recovery mode and i'm unable to exit this mode.
i'ce tried ibrick but it just sits there forever and does nothign in the end, i'ver tried several times, and after 20min, still in recovery mode.

what I'd like to learn is how to get out of recovery mode?

i can restore 111 to it but it just loops, its back to recovery mode after a restore the 111 image.

when i try to restore to 1.1.1 after it finishes trying to restore the image file, i get error 1015, saying known error which i've been told is normal. but the apple logo goes away then it reverts back to the recovery mode.

so clearly 113 by dev team has done something screwy but now i'm unable to exit this recovery mode.

i tried the jailbreak 1.1.2 method but that failed too.
    i tried iphuc, fails
i tried ibrick, that fails also.

    http://www.nullriver.com/~adam/AppTappInstaller.exe

ok i fixed it, i followed this tutorial http://www.hackthatphone.com/113/iph...grade_113.html

then i ran the apptapp installer and that took it off recovery mode.

now i should be able to do the jailbreaking stuff fine
