Exclamation [1.1.3] stuck @ "Slide for emergency" > Can't Restore

    thanks for stopping by,

bought an unlocked iphone operating on 1.1.3 and youtube wasn't working...got it to work by searching for a fix...the fix suggested that i replace 3 files in the Lockdown directory..and delete the file that's in activation_records. I used iphonebrowser and did all that.

got youtube to work....a few minutes later i am stuck at the "Slide for emergency" screen. can't access the phone anymore.

I connect to iTunes and it prompts me to upgrade to 1.1.4....i tried to do it, thinking it might fix the problem, yet i am getting an error during the installation period.

my question is this, what THE HELL did i do? and how can i fix it?

    thanks

    Hi

Your title didn't follow the rules here please have a look at my signature link for more information

As far as where you are now with your problem upgrading to 1.1.4.

Are you putting the phone into a DFU restore mode ? If not that mite be the reason your getting errors

Try to Restore to 1.1.4fw into full DFU mode

and remember never use ziphone ...
I wonder where searched and came up with that replacing 3 files ....
Anyway, if your search tells you to use ziphone - Don't do it.
    Use iLiberty+ or Pwnage/winpwn ...

Digging really deep might bring up this one. We used to do that manually in summer last year when firmware 1.0.2 was the one you were after getting unlocked. Maybe he just found one of the very old tutorials
