[1.1.3] [Speculation] Jailbreak(Non-DevTeam Discussion)
While we are all very appreciative of the Dev Team's hard work for the benefit and greater good of the community, some of us have been having our own discussion about possible jailbreak scenarios. We were having this discussion in a thread that was wrongly titled, so it was rightly closed by one of the mods. I would hope that the discussion could continue here. We have nothing else to do but wait at this point, so rather than sit on our hands, let's put our heads together. If you disagree with the whole premise that we have this discussion in the first place, please refrain from flaming the thread. Any positive(or constructively negative) feedback is wanted and appreciated.
If you want to read the thread that led up to this point, it's here: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24151

check out the last comment.....
"[XianLi's edit][Thread closed to prevent several same topics, please continue in this new thread]"
so you decide to start another "1.1.3 JB" thread. honestly..... why?
after 160+views and NO comments, this thread should've just continued its slow, painful, yet satisfying, death until it was bumped back up.... again, i ask: why?
hackint0sh user:
"I don't know if you guys are following the "We need to talk." thread anymore. Just a heads up that I received confirmation from
Jobs himself that the next iPhone firmware update is definitely going to make every effort to keep us from installing 3rd party apps."

instant classic.

Cool Chronic. I'm not going anywhere.
FYI, I tested a Quicktime file by editing in the GET command from Y.Tiff with a hex editor. I tested it in multiple locations within the .mov file and I never got Quicktime to crash or do anything but play the movie.
I don't think that QT is vulnerable.

Nope, not quite that but there's some interesting things being discussed, *hint* it works for 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 and also 1.1.3
I already commented back about a web site claiming the JB is similar to that done in 1.1.2.
A forum member chris_ also stated on IRC some time ago that he believed the same method would be again possible for 1.1.3 etc. (sorry if i got any of that wrong there chris_)
Anyway.... hang tight... something is going to come before SDK, Anyone bitching will be ignored at this point.

If I were in that dev-team, hacking would be my hobby...
So I'd bring out this new jailbreak- unlock method, everybody will be happy and veeeery thankfull, and in a month's time I'd have a whole new challenge...
I don't understand these guys.
Keep up the good work guys;
too bad I dont know sh*t about hacking :-)
