The jailbreak worked fine, I used conceited source's dev team jailbreak via Installer. I have AT&T so I did not use "hacktivation" and iTunes did activate the phone. Edge works. E-Mail updates. However I am stuck with this:

Can't hear any sound at all. I can make calls but I can't hear anything. I just see the call timer increasing. This goes for speaker or headphones.
iPod does not play anything. Songs stay at 0:00.

I've looked all over and searched posts but I haven't seen a fix. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks...

Okay I have a fix if this happens to anyone else.

After shutting my phone off and turning it back on for the 3rd or 4th time, I realized that I wasn't getting Edge or any signal at all. Go to Settings -> General -> Reset All Settings.

If you try to make a call and it doesn't work...be patient it might take a few seconds. If it still does not work have someone else call you to be sure. All of a sudden I'm hearing ringtones, iPod is playing songs, speaker phone is back, etc. Hope this helps someone else!

I am having this exact same problem (also used the same Official Jailbreak). However, I am also unable to open sms.app, ical.app, youtube doesnt work, maps.app wont open, and obviously the ipod doesnt work because there is no sound. I can however shh and install new apps... and of course make the icons wiggle and move them around Any ideas? Resetting for me did not work.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I could not figure out what was going on. Your post saved my arse and probably kept me from through my iPhone through a plate glass window.
