Can anyone please help me with templates for Israel?

Incoming calls from land lines show up as 0XXXXXXXX or 077XXXXXXX, and from cellular phones as 05XXXXXXXX. The international prefix is 972, so SMS messages are registered as +972XXXXXXXX and +97277XXXXXXX for land lines and +9725XXXXXXXX for cellular phones.

So each number has 7 digits and an area code that is 2/3 digits, starting with a zero. The zero of the area code is dropped when the country code (972) is used.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You open the PhoneNumberTemplates.txt file and add your templates.

Proper phone number templates can split a phone number into area code and subscriber number. You said that area code can be 2 or 3 digits. When is it 2 digits and when is it 3 digits?

    pl 48 00 - - #########
    ie 353 00 0 - ########;#########;##########

Please note that these templates have no knowledge of area codes.

what does mean ++++ ##### and so on. thanks
"+" means "use value from previous line at same position"
"#" means "match any digit" (it is a wildcard)

You might as well remove the first and last two lines because they are invalid and will be ignored. Each line should have 6 values, not 5, 7 or 8.

First line will be ignored because it contains only 5 values. If you want to specify that the area code is empty, use a "-".
