Lightbulb [1.1.3][SOLUTION] Installer “main script execution failed” fix

There might be others that might have had the same problem. If you did what I did and forgot to update Installer before updating to 1.1.3, or maybe you just get this error and need to fix permissions.

Use WinSCP (Or similar for mac users) and connect to your iPhone with SSH/SCP:
(WinSCP tutorial: http://limitededitioniphone.com/wind...p-with-iphone/ - follow the first steps then go to Command -> Open terminal)

    Enter these commands in terminal:

    cd /
    cd Applications/
    wget http://repository.apptapp.com/packag.../Installer.zip
    rm -rf Installer.app
    unzip Installer.zip
    chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
    chown -R root:wheel Installer.app
    rm Installer.zip

This will reinstall Installer with the correct permissions. Problem solved. No more main script execution bollocks

you are the shit, thank you sir! and for Mac users, just open terminal and type in:

    rm -f ~/.ssh/known_hosts
ssh -l root your phones ip
(when it asks yes or no say yes, then alpine for the password)
    cd /
    cd Applications/
    wget http://repository.apptapp.com/packag.../Installer.zip
    rm -rf Installer.app
    unzip Installer.zip
    chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
    chown -R root:wheel Installer.app
    rm Installer.zip

PS: where you see the link for the installer above, it is shortened by the forum so just copy the link and type wget then space then paste the link back in

i95junkie - I don't think its because of the link, because when I type wget it says

    "Zsh: command not found"

meaning its an issue with the wget command

will this effect the ability of installer app to see previously installed packages?

Also: do I really need to reinstall Installer.app or can I just fix the permissions as you described?

I reset the permissions for Installer.app as you described but I still get a "main execution error" message when I attempt to install "1.1.3FixforMobileFinder."
