I was at 1.1.1 unlocked for a few months, until the soft jailbreak from the Dev Team was released. I followed steps on iClarified (or Modmyifone) and upgraded to 1.1.2, unlocked with AnySim1.21u, then did the soft upgrade process from Installer. Obviously, all my apps had been erased (even when I was at 1.1.2). I tried installing an app, but I cannot install ANYTHING. It downloads the file, then closes Installer. I tried to install the baseband updater, but that doesn't work either. Many apps that work on my friends' 1.1.3 iPhones that I updated for them don't work on mine. Anyhow, I'm thinking about going back to 1.1.2 and redoing the process: is this possible (without bricking my phone of course)?
At first I thought it shouldn't be a problem; I would just option click in iTunes to restore to 1.1.2, but then I remember I probably won't be able to jailbreak 1.1.2 since the phone would not have OktoPrep done in 1.1.1 first...am I right? If that's the case, does that mean I need to go back to 1.1.1, jailbreak, oktoprep, update, jailbreak? And if still yes, what about unlocking? I had unlocked 1.1.1, then in 1.1.2 I used the AnySim 1.21u...what happens now?
I'd apperciate it if someone could let me know basically how I can redo the whole process; simply going back down to whatever I need to go to and coming back to 1.1.3...basically as long as I can get to an older workable FW I can come back to 1.1.3...
Thanks a lot!
