Default [1.1.3] run a script when docked (?)

i managed to get my phone to sync music over wifi on ubuntu, but my wifi shuts off when the phone goes into standby .... using johntool fixes this but i dont like how its affecting battery life ..

is it possible to get a script to run on a docking event? ideally i could make one that creates the SummerBoard.DisablePowerManagement file when i dock and deletes it when i undock ..

this way i could get my network connection to stay up and keep the battery life when im on the road ...

ive been poking around over ssh but no leads so far ... any ideas ?
