The fee was for the Itouch if im not mistaken. and damn well they should pay! they get all the stuff we get at like half the price... freaking 750 euros vs like 250...

even those of you with the old boot loader should not upgrade. you *could* but you would be stuck with a ipod touch on 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 again waiting for jailbreak on 1.1.3. old bootloader people will be unable to access the baseband until the sec pack is retrieved.

its crap that apple charges for a fw update! really is a shame theres no competition to put them in thier place
