Also, NG's JB is slow on slow connections. One point for Nate
However, if the kernel/Nikita rumor is true and applies only to NT' JB, that's a couple of points for NG
Since it was related to 1.1.2, if Nate's JB worked on 1.1.2 jailbroken phones just fine, then it probably makes no difference as long as you use those jailbreak methods on 1.1.2 JB phones only.
I guess we'll know when SDK-created apps come out if Nate's screws up the Nikita/DRM scheme.

The official one is only a soft upgrade as well isn't it? So the baseband won't change??I have Nates jb working just fine as well so I can't see any reasoning in changing it. Can anyone give me any reason why we should change if Nates is working fine?
SEARCH!!! Its really not that hard!!

Yea I'm in the same situation - only I upgraded the bb too.
Have everything working no issues... so whats the point in using the official jb one?

NerveGas did say he will have everything working and there is word at iphoneatlas that Nate's JB breaks Apple 3rd Party programs support.

I'm in exactly the same position. Of course I used Nate's Jailbreak when it came out. I don't see any reason to go through all that hassle just to go the 'official' way. Everything seems to work fine for me.

i definitely agree.nates jb was ultra-noob-friendly.i dont get it why dev team makes it not easy as that.(i have no problem with this installation.but maybe others have.).doesn't make sense for me...
My FW way:
1.1.1 JB/unlocked ->1.1.3 JB/unlocked ->1.1.1 locked ->1.0.2 JB/unlocked ->1.1.1 JB/unlocked. ->1.1.2 JB/locked ->fxxcked up not booting ->
1.1.1 JB/unlocked ->1.1.2 JB/unlocked ->1.1.3 JB/unlocked ->fxxcked up, spinning wheel of death ->restored 1.1.3 ->1.1.3 JB/unlocked -> 1.1.4 JB/unlocked ... Now 3.1.3

as me? apparently it uses copyright stuff, and that it breaks apps that come out for the iphone using the SDK

Hm,
I am not getting the point why we couldn't simply run the Dev-Team 1.1.3 upgrade from the Nate-True 1.1.3 ?! Isn't the update wiping out the complete system partition, so that it only needs to be run from a jailbroken environment?
Or, are they reusing parts that are on the phone from 1.1.2 ?
Because if 1 is the case, there wouldn't be any reason for the whole restore, jb, upgrade, jb, upgrade, jb trouble...
What I am missing ? Please enlighten me
