Default [1.1.3] Lost allot of the 300mb space?

So I upgraded from1.1.3 to 1.1.4 using ziphone without a problem. All my games and applications were gone during the upgrade which I figured would happen. However, I had 120mb of free space prior to the update and now I'm down to 54 mb?

The first application I installed after the update was The Boss tool to free up space but I can't get more then 50 mb.

is it possible that the games and applications from the previous version are still in memory? They don't show up in the installer uninstall though.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

i think because you did use bosstool to move your fronts or ringtone to the second storage drive, then upgrade may reverse that process, so you need to do it again. this is what i think, maybe you can take a try

Yes it is, you should do DFU RESTORE TO 1.1.4, in order to get a clean install, after that you know the drill - ziphone, jailbreak, activate, unlock .... and you should be with <200 Mb of others in iTunes (that is probably the firmware), then use installer, and relocate your apps and stuff to media partition ....

Maybe there is another solution without RESTORE, but i can not rememember anything else, try to search the forum anyway before try to do it ....

    Guys,

Are you saying that the current version of BossTool v0.35 is compatible with 1.1.4 which was upgraded using ziphone2.5x?

I did a DFU mode Restore to 1.1.4, then Ziphone 2.5b, opted for New Iphone when asked.

I'm now on 1.1.4 and after much installation of Apps, I now left with only 23MB.

So, You are confirming that BossTool v0.35 can safely be used to Relocate Font/sRingtone/Apps on my 1.1.4?

    Thanks!

    Quick update...

So boss tools was not moving my fonts, apps and ringtones when I upgraded to 1.1.4 as stated above.

A few minutes ago i was fooling around with installer and noticed I didn't have BSD Subsystem installed, so I installed it, tried bosstools one last time and viola it worked on 1.1.4. I am now able to move everything and have just under 150mb.

I'm not sure if you need BSD for Bosstool to work but it worked for me.

    Thanks everyone.

I has a 1.0.2 [OOB] and unlocked long time ago. Used BossTool previously to move Fonts & RingTones to /private/var and worked fine.
Just yesterday, I followed the steps at http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=33455 to upgrade to 1.1.4 and active, jailbreak & unlock it. Everything worked fine.
Then, install BossTools again. This time, my itchy hand run BossTool and click on the Reallocate Apps button. After a while, the phone reboot and just display the Apple icons for about 7-10 mins then reboot again. Everything got mess.
Try the steps at http://www.appleiphoneschool.com/200...ving-bosstool/ to reverse BoosTools Apps reallocated but the phone keep reboot, loading for 7-10mins and then reboot...

Maybe I have to do a restore this time

I am on 1.1.4 and bosstool cannot move applications. I even tried removing all apps except bsd and ran it but no go.. What could be the problem?
