[1.1.3] JB AT&T sim, howto activate?
Okay, so I've got an AT&T sim card and a Jailbroken 1.1.3, but I've had no phone functionality since I downgraded back to 1.1.1 in order to start the update. Here's the general flow of things:
1. Get my iPhone (week 51?), activate, upgrade to 1.1.3 legit (so I've got the new baseband firmware)
2. Downgrade back to 1.1.1 & jailbreak, so I'm getting the invalid SIM message (obviously because I'm using the new baseband fw)
3. OkToPrep -> 1.1.2 JB. After running the OkToPrep, restarting my iPhone and opening it in iTunes, I attempt to restore my previous iPhone settings, but I'm told it's invalid or something to that extent. This is probably because the settings were saved from the phone when it was 1.1.3 legit. So instead I just my iPhone and continue.
4. 1.1.2 JB -> 1.1.3 dev team upgrade/JB via iClarified.
I just need to know if I can restore the phone functionality to my iPhone (remember, I'm using a legit AT&T sim card). If so how? And will I have to restore my phone and do this entire process all over again?
Thanks in advance for the help guys!
Big thanks to ZIE in #iphone for pointing me in the right direction on this one
read the pertinent thread here.
Here's the only part you really need though:
use your favorite SFTP client to connect to your iPhone.
mv /usr/libexec/lockdownd /usr/libexec/lockdownd_old
copy this file to /usr/libexec/lockdownd on your iPhone.
disconnect the phone, close iTunes, restart the phone.
open iTunes & connect the phone, should be activated
Does this work with *SIM too?
Ok...just saw the thread.......forget it.....it doesn't work with any kind of *SIM.
