[1.1.3 JB] Anyone get a rented movie to transfer to their iPhone?
Mine consistently errors out after copying, ending with a message that the movie couldn't be copied "because iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your Internet connection is active and try again."
I am of course connected to the damn iTunes Store. And the movie copied just fine, it's after it's copied that the error is thrown up (and then the copy is deleted from the iPhone).
Has anyone with JB 1.1.3 gotten a rented movie to transfer?

Same problem here..
Are you in the US or do you have an US-account outside US, like me?

I bet it has to do with the DRM issue many people are experiencing.
Can you playback iTunes purchased, protected music or videos on it? If not, then I doubt it will work with rentals.

As an update I don't have any problems with loading or playing protected music (or even purchased video: TV shows come over without issue). Just seems to be rented movies. But I agree it's likely something to do with DRM. Whatever "time out" mechanism is used is apparently not working, or it's not able to authenticate to the iTunes store.
Oh yea, it's standard U.S. iTunes account--and I'm in the U.S.

same problem. Fine with purchased media just not rented.
US account outside of US

Same issue. Itunes says it cannot access the store (when it can).
US iTunes account - accessing it from outside US though.
Movie plays ok on my MacBook.

Do you guys have the 1.1.3 baseband or the 1.1.2 one?

I now have the updated baseband (4.03.13) and it made no difference: movie rentals still don't work.
I have now verified they don't work on both Nate's and dev team jbs, under both BBs.
The only platform where I was able to get it to work was stock 1.1.3 (duh!).

Rented 4:10 to Yuma last night and I couldn't transfer the movie also. Gave me an iTunes store error says that I need to be connected to the internet which I obviously was. I'm in the US with a Dev Team upgraded 1.1.3 phone.
Counting down for iPhone 2012 =)
