If everything goes smoothly, and your Apps are transferred safely to /private/var/mobile/Applications and are still working, you should go ahead and delete the whole /Applications.old directory, as it is just a backup in case anything goes wrong during this process.

    Talking it worked

    hey there,

sorry for the late reply. i had to go to a class and was kind of in a hurry.
It worked. thank you so much.
Now i have to figure out how to get my apps back. But at least i can install new ones now. maybe i just have to uninstall the ones that i cannot see and reinstall them..

Next thing is to sync with itunes and try if that is working.

I'll keep ya posted.. thanks again. And thanks for your time.

    Default "Main Script execution failed"

    Hi unclear,
    yeah, i am also glad.
It even seems like the sync is working. Even though i havent changed anything in the settings or else. At least i tried it with the address book. but didnt get any error messages.

I tried to uninstall all apps that got deleted with the update. So i tried to uninstall them via Installer and to reinstall some of then. and it worked well.
BUT there is one APP. The one, most important to me , that i cant uninstall and reinstall. it is the HP12C Calculator application. i get the "main script execution failed" errormessage when trying to uninstall.
Would i be able to just remove it manually? or is there any other solution like the one i found in another thread:

    Code:
    cd /Applications
    chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
    chown -R root:wheel Installer.app
I had the current version installed before i upgraded and i am just a little confused cause all the other uninstalls and reInstalls went fine.

    thanks for all the support,
