That source seems reliable and they say it was jailbreaked today ?

Status on 1.1.3 jailbreak and unlock
1.1.3 was released on January 15. It was jailbreaked at jan 19th (read/write access), but nok unlocked - DON'T upgrade yet! Secpack from 1.1.3 has been found.

Well the previous thread was about a random video from some random guy on an ipod touch... This is from a pretty decent source and for iPhone...

they have just written in the announcement that jailbreak is real, done by dev and elite team, but they won't release until SDK...

But why are they waiting for the sdk to release the jailbreak... I personnaly dont give a sh** cuz im on a 1.1.2 OTB unlocked with stealthsim so I can't even upgrade to 1.1.3 but I can imagine its frustrating for people stuck with a 400 buck paperweight.. Are we working alongside apple now ?

no... wht i think is.. if the jailbreak is released and appl can see wht it does they maybe able to change something in the SDK to make it useless... or even withhold it.. that way no one can make any 1.1.3 apps

and if you want to upgrade all you have to do is the testpoint trick to downgrade your bootloader...... if you kno how to take things apart without breaking it... which is why im soo glad i dont have that damned bootloader..

apple should be on our side by now i mean look, every iphone FW up to 1.1.2 has been unlocked and jailbroken, there is now a way to downgrade the bootloader, it took around 4 days to jailbreak 1.1.3 after its release
this is the reason the iphone sells... it can be made to work on other GSM carriers.... if there was no way to make it work outside ATT they would not be selling

apple is going to do what apple is going to do whether the jailbreak is released today, last week, or next month so there is no reason to release the solution as soon as it's ready.

what i think... apple will have the firmware worked out where future sw releases will not have new bootloaders and they only way to hack with no new secpacks will be with hardware solution.
