If you would pull your head out of your ass, you would realize that Apple has a hell of a lot more developers on their side than we do, and just the simple fact that someone has announced a jailbreak ensures that their investigation will be kicked up a gear. Additionally, there was never any rock solid promise that an upgrade would not be needed to use the SDK. Upgrading would only be an issue if you have modded your iPhone, and i'm sure Apple is not really concerned about inconveniencing us.

But let's sidestep this entire argument by stating the obvious: we have never given a crap about Apple's restrictions. In fact, it's pretty obvious what's going to happen: we are going to be left hanging with this jailbreak until the SDK comes out, at which point the 1.1.4 or 1.2.0 update will be pushed through, killing the jailbreak exploit. Everyone will be pissed at the dev team for making us wait for absolutely nothing, and they will realize that announcing the jailbreak at all was a mistake. If they make us wait, all it will do is push the eventual patch back a little farther, so just give it to us now and everyone will be happy.
    Agreed.
Let me first state that the people who made this jailbreak don't owe anyone anything and they can do whatever they want with it. However it's extremely foolish to think that withholding it will stop it being patched before the SDK, if it only took a few days to break I'm sure the many professional developers at apple will patch it within the weeks they have before the SDK is released. I mean seriously how do you think it won't be patched?

Are you so l33t that you're better at this than the people who work on it all day every day for money? Lets be serious here this jailbreak method will not work for the next firmware whether the jailbreak is released or not. Again though I didn't create it and I'm not actually complaining that it's not being made public, I'm just leading my voice to the 'This is pointless they'll patch it anyway' party.
