Oh, sorry, I wasn't aware of the fact that the 1.1.2 OTB was figured out a month ago and the dev team was just holding it back to piss you off.
There is a huge, huge difference between "We're working as hard as we can, just be patient." and "We have just what you want right now, but we're not giving it to you, just be patient".

I'm glad that they are waiting to release it - i'd rather "save" this jailbreak for a useful update like the 1.1.4 rather than using it on 1.1.3 and then having Apple patch it before the 1.1.4 release.
Sure, there is the possibility that Apple will work out how the jailbreak was done and then patch it before 1.1.4 anyhow...but at least by holding off on the release we did all we could to save this jailbreak for 1.1.4.

My thoughts: If the 1.1.3 firmware supports 3-rd party (SDK) apps already, then what's the issue? Apple would have to update the firmware again to break the jailbreak. The SDK apps are likely to be offered on or through the phone/touch via Safari to download/install and (pay for) them, though I think iTunes will still need involvment so it can record what you've paid for so you're able to reinstall the Apps if you need to do a full restore or have the phone replaced under warranty. If the phone is to have a "Apps" app, then it's not in 1.1.3 and will either to offered as a download for current touch/phone users similar to how the Touch upgrade pack will be done or through a 1.1.4 FW.
Thus, either iTunes 7.6 supports this or a 7.7 or 8.0 will coincide with the SDK . Also, given the frequency of updates by Apple and the reported bugs in 1.1.3, what's stopping a 1.1.4 coming out before or with the SDK that will likely break the jailbreak regardless of it being out to the masses.
It seems they're unsure of their capabilities and backing down a bit. They get to use the 1.1.3 themselves, while those who've donated do not. I would like more details on the logic being followed and not the current "it just makes sense stuff". Why does it make sense? What proof is there that the jailbreak won't be broken regardless?

I just want the new apps. I want to send sms's to multiple people, see my location in maps, etc. I understand the dev team's logic though, and I agree they should wait.
