[1.1.3] Impossible to Restore?
My 1.1.3 boots on the restore crap every time, so I'm trying to restore to an older version, but every time I try, I get an unknown error 1604 and then my iPhone reboots to the restore screen. What the hell? Is it possible for me to restore my iPhone?

Extract the WTF file from the firmware you want to restore by unzipping it, then give it to your phone with iphuc.
Run the following commands with the WTF in the same directory as iphuc:
enterrestore
filecopytophone *yourwtffilename*
cmd go
Restore using iTunes like normal.
Remember you'll run into baseband issues..

Or you could just use a different computer as that error (pretty much like all itunes errors!) seems to be sorted by swapping USB ports - although sometimes you need to use a different computer altogether!

Now I get Error 1015 when it's restoring the firmware. There's no info on the apple site for that. I have a feeling this is a firmware downgrade error. I'm using iTunes 7.4.

Thats good, you are in the right path, after the "error 1015" click OK and kick out the phone with iBrickr or Independence and make the *#307# trick.

Alright, I finally restored my phone and it works on 1.1.1 correctly now.. But why can't I run Customize 1.20? It hangs at the SpicyChicken logo and then closes. I have BSD Subsystem 2.0..

this is a known issue
you have to restart it and on the 3rd attempt it will kick in.
the first time u install customize and run it, its doing something which causes it to close out, just keep relaunching it and it will work.
