[1.1.3] HOWTO: Create symlinks?
Anyone know how to create valid symlinks for 1.1.3?
I've created a TMobile_UK.bundle where I basically mirrored all the other stuff from the other bundles, though I edited the carrier.plist to include the right APN information, etc for T-Mo UK. I placed the bundle with all the other carrier bundles (/System/Library/Carrier Bundles) However I tried the old symlink method for 1.1.2:
ln -s TMobile_UK.bundle 23430
But this old method didn't actually create a symlink, or if it did it placed it in the wrong folder (not in the /Sys/Lib/Carrier Bundles folder) where all the others are.
So in the mean time I edited the unknown carrier bundle's carrier.plist, however I'd like to properly create a symlink. Ideas?
Since you are in the directory "/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/" and want to put a symlink in "/System/Library/Carrier Bundles" you need to tell the command that...
e.g. ln -s [source path/file] [target path]
If all else fails look up the unix man page for the ln command. Hope that helps.
