and how many times have u updated your other cell phones firmware..i can put my money that most of you if not all have never ever updated your other phones firmwares.. but all of a sudden when you have an iphone you guys need to update it...for now enjoy your iphones as it still works as a phone and thats all that should matter to you...and stop complaining everyone...
I don't mind waiting either if we knew it'd actually work, however they're just hoping it will. There is a lot of evidence as discussed here pointing to the contrary. But believe what you want, the truth will come soon.

we ppl built on reason... dont mind waiting for the JB to come out its the ppl who dont kno how things work that usually are "release it NOW!!!!!!!"

appl just doesnt get it..... whats the point of making a sig check when they dont have zilch for apps on the phone?

this idea of theirs is gonna crash and burn just like the 4.6 bootloader

"apples smart but were smarter" lol apples also what 100+ devs

Christ, you do realise that they do that for a living? Have a huge paycheck and are working for a billion dollar company? They are allways a step ahead no matter what. The more firmware's/bootloaders that will come, the more it will be locked down. Thats how it goes -_-

I dont even think they really care about some "hacking community".
They knew from day 1 that people would try too unlock it, offcourse they are under pressure from att etc, "dev team" and others are just free security testers for them lol, takes them a month to lock it down again.

A beacon of light in a sea of retards...
btw, all that "reason" and "common sense" is just gonna get you flamed and some "STFU"s around here. A LOT of the kids around here really believe that Apple only knows what the dev team shows them.

    what evidence???
there are loads of things on apples priority list of "fixes" for the iphone..getting the ipod application to play nice with safari for example.
if the "hole" that the dev team uses is low on the priority list then you can be assured that it will not be fixed in the coming releases.

regarding the SDK and apps implementation..

the apps will most likely run in an "sandboxed" envoirment with no /limited rights to write on the system partition.

however this is inconsequential for unlocking as the baseband can always be unlocked by running the unlocking software on an older FW and then updating to the newer FW and jailbreaking (giving you root access) and replacing the lowdownd file.
