[1.1.3 or any] How to save and restore apps quickly?
Does anybody know if there is a quick way to restore apps? For example I heard that upgrading from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4, you will lose your apps. Is there a quick way to restore them without having to go to install.apps again?

sure, u can SSH into your iphone anc backup the /applications folder
then simply restore that folder.
keep in mind this may work for some but not all apps since its more complex.
reason being, if you install photoshop on your PC, then use windows explorer to backup that adobe folder in /program files to a zip drive or cdrw....if you format your computer reload windows and try to restore that adobe folder with photoshop on it, it will restore the files fine but when u try to launch it it wont work
reason being when an installer package installs programs it places .dll files in windows system fodler and other palces and make registry changes.
same applies to iphone, except they are called, .plist files
alternatively you can backup, then when needed to restore the files via SSH, then install the apps u need which should then find any previous data files you created from within the apps.

Or you could use iFuntastic (paid app but backup works for free).
Hit the "Home Screen" button and...
...ALL your apps from the phone get dumped in /Users/xxxx//Library/Application Support/bitSplit Enterprises/iFuntastic/Applications (on your computer of course).
Absolutely the most simple way I found to backup (& restore of course) till now!
