    Default [1.1.3/1.1.4](all)[solution] Custom carrier Logo not working in rare cases

    Even if you setup everything correct for displaying your custom carrier logo, in some cases it will not be displayed. I found out the reason by accident and have been able to solve it. To make the logo in your custom carrier work, you have to have the following lines (below "ShowTTY" and its value) in your carrier.plist inside your custom carrier bundle:

    >>.....more before this lines in carrier.plist<<
    <key>StatusBarImages</key>
    <array>
    <dict>
    <key>AllowPrefixMatching</key>
    <true/>
    <key>CarrierName</key>
    <string>O2</string>
    <key>DefaultImage</key>
    <string>Default_CARRIER_O2.png</string>
    <key>FullScreenOpaqueImage</key>
    <string>FSO_CARRIER_O2.png</string>
    </dict>
    </array>
    >>.....more after this lines in carrier.plist<<
    AllowPrefixMatching has to be set to "true". In case of the main carriers (here o2 Germany) this setup will work - by accident. The iPhone compares the first characters/digits in the value of "CarrierName" (here O2) with the string the simcards issue through the network. My o2 simcard issues "o2 - de", that works

    I do have an additional simcard from my landline telco "Alice". They use o2's network but if you insert the simcard in an iPhone it will display (scrolling) "willkommen", whats their "carrier logo name". So in this case under "CarrierName" I would have to write "willkommen", otherwise there is no way displaying the custom logo; "Alice" or "o2" will not work in this cases.
    The cool thing: you dont even have to insert the complete string, the first character will do and it's not case sensitive, so "W" works in this example.

    This may help if your carrier usually displays a country code in front of the carrier name e.g. "GR Vodafone" or so. In this case you would have to set "G" as the string value for "CarrierName".

    [EDIT] Thx to docomar for pointing out this one: Never use a space in this instance of CarrierName, no matter what your carrier name is or what's displayed.[/EDIT]

    So if you have setup all and the custom carrier logo does not show up, watch the name of the standard logo that is displayed (from your simcard/carrier) and use the first character or digit in the string above.

    Hope that helps

    Thumbs up Useful and important detail

    You should add, no matter what your carrier name is, NEVER write it with any space in between : with my carrier name (MOR IAM), I did not understand why it was not working for weeks!

    I followed all the rules described through many threads and posts, until someone ( I just remembered it was you : MANY MANY THANKS) detailed not to put any space in the carrier name!!!!
    As soon as I wrote my carrier name as MORIAM instead of MOR IAM, bingo : IT WORKED !!!!!

    Same happened to me, when I started playing around with this. my carrier is o2 Germeny so I tried "O2 DE", did not work. No Spaces, no special characters nada. I prepared couple bundles cause I have some prepaid simcards for travelling. Under "CarrierName" (in this logo section) I always just use the first character, in my case O - thats it. The first Instance of CarrierName in the carrier.plist (almost at the beginng) is different and easier, its just for displaying the service name at "Settings/Phone/" and can hold special characters, spaces.
