Default [1.1.3 (1.0.2 OTB)][Problem] No signal after iClarified baseband upgrade...

My iPhone was unlocked (or rather "secphucked") via IPSF, then had a spontaneous seczone corruption that caused it to loose IMEI, and Wi-Fi and BT MAC addresses. Thanks to Xintra, who managed to patch the IPSF locktable back in the seczone which got me a working phone (with non-working wifi and bt).

Anyway, i've successifully upgraded to jailbreaked 1.1.3 using Dev Team's Jailbreak-1.1.3.tar.gz, which worked great (since my Wi-Fi doesn't work, i edited out the script so it doesn't download the restore file over EDGE, downloaded it on the computer and uploaded it on the phone using iPhoneList). At this point, everything wokred just fine, except, of course, Maps positioning.

Then i've decided to try and upgrade the baseband using iClarified's Installer package ("Baseband Updater (04.03.13_G)") which went through it's stuff without a hitch. Except, afterwards, i get no signal!

The IMEI is fine, SIM gets detected, but i get no signal bars and every call try fails. I've tried bricktool, which initially (twice) reported successful debricking, then started reporting "Couldn't establish core telephony connection". Launchctl reports "Socket is not connected" whatever i try to do. And for some reason, i can't get minicom to start. Downgrade to 1.1.2 doesn't work (just bails out), downgrade to 1.1.1 ended up with a relock ("Incorrect SIM").

    Any ideas?

    Did you try the signal.app?

Ugh, crap. Didn't even know about it.
I've found a relevant guide and will try that as soon as i go through the whole ordeal of upgrading/activating/jailbreaking my way back to 1.1.3 without wifi...

    Thanks! Hope this works!

Edit: Hmm. How exactly does one go about Oktoprepping a 1.1.1 without ANY network connection?

Worked! And it works just fine with the new baseband fw under 1.0.2!
Cool! Thanks a lot for the help. =D

Now if only there was a way to finally fix the seczone corruption + missing wifi and bt, i'd be jumping around from joy

    Weird...
Now i can't get the phone to exit Recovery mode after i upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1.

It just hangs on the cable+itunes graphic no matter what i try.
AppTapp installer doesn't help (on Windows), iNdependance just crashes as soon as i connect the phone and issuing "cmd fsboot" in iPHUC does nothing.

I've tried going back to 1.0.2 again and reupgrading to 1.1.1 - same result.

Edit: Will try a manual 1.1.2 preparation and a straight upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.1.2... Maybe that will work.

Edit2: Oh, crap, now it won't downgrade to 1.0.2 either. Just what the heck is going on with this phone?

I believe it's ususlly a good idea to match baseband with firmware. The baseband you are on is from 1.1.3 (I think). So maybe you should try to update to 1.1.3.

It would seem that with BL 3.9:

    04.03.13 + downgrade to 1.0.2 = OK
    04.03.13 + 1.0.2 + upgrade to anything = BUST

So if you downgrade from 1.1.3 to 1.0.2, then try to upgrade your way back to 1.1.3, you first MUST do a BB downgrade to 03.14.08

Also, if anyone gets stuck in the same situation, you don't have to go through 1.1.1. You can upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.1.2 directly, using this guide:

HOLY! sounds like you went to hell and back to get your iphone to work! that's exactly why i'm just using mine @ 1.1.2 I will probably continue to use mine like this and might attempt to upgrade it every few new firmware updates... so maybe at 1.1.4 or later!

Blah... After finally convincing 1.1.2 to retain the EDGE settings without iWorld, Wi-Fi, SSH, Term or any other means of communicating, i install 1.1.3 and find out - what?

That i've accidentally grabbed the OLD 1.1.3 updater (1.1.3-1). So i had to do it ALL over again! GAAAH!

BTW, tried out ZiPhone along the way and it keeps crashing on my machine (32-bit Vista) as soon as it detects an iPhone in Recovery mode. No errors, no output of any sort - everything's just fine, it writes the "put the phone in recovery mode" message, and as soon as i do, BLAM! It's dead.
