    Exclamation [1.1.2] upgraded to 1.1.3 with IPSF WORKS on AT&T Network

    I attempted to upgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 with a week 28 iPhone that was bricked via anysim, unbricked/unlocked via IPSF and jail broken. I thought Iíd post my results here as well as the hofo forums... the following is my post on that forum...

    "Well Iíve decided to go ahead with the upgrade Iíll post an update when its completed.... hopefully with a still fully functional 1.1.3 iPhone (on ATT network)

    To get all the questions out of the way its a week 28 iPhone that was upgraded to 1.0.2 the day I brought it home, unlocked and jail broke, once upgraded to 1.1.1 it bricked due to the anysim prob everyone was facing. I fixed that issue with IPSF and eventually upgraded to 1.1.2 with no problems.

    I'm attempting the upgrade on my laptop (1st time using it with itunes seeing as itís a 64fx chip using itunes 7.6). As I was/am typing this I just popped the 1602 error, unplugged the phone from the computer, plugged it back in and now appears to be going through with the update.. Iíll repost/update when itís completeÖ stand byÖ.

    ::::UPDATE::::

    After the 1602 error popped, like said above I disconnected my iPhone from the computer and reconnected... itunes (7.6) found the iPhone again and started the update... after a few minutes (fingers crossed and a bit of Jesus donít let this ******* brick out) itunes popped a message stating "update complete leave iPhone connected to the computer until its completely rebooted". After reboot I have a fully functional 1.1.3 iPhone... Iíll attempt tonight when at work to use a co-workers non-ATT sim to see if the IPSF unlock held. Again... all update worked with no bricking, all functions seem to work (phone, sms, etc)"

    Here's a link to the forum should anyone like to read further...

    it appears so... I donít want to say yes it did and have some poor sap brick his/her iPhone because they read that it worked for me however everything seems to work... phone, sms, multi sms, all the Google maps with "find me" and what not... about the only thing I havenít yet tried is adding a bookmark on the springboard.. Although the multi page and icon move work perfectly.

    he never said the IPSF remains unlocked... he just said his phone isn't bricked... he's usint AT&T so it activated all fine and pretty.

    If you weren't on ATT then no luck, cause you can't activate it.

    Did you activate your ATT sim card after updating or it was already activated ?

    Others have already done this and have reported that when another sim is used, they receive no error messages but they get no signal!? so it sound like the unlock seems to remain, but something else might be preventing the sim from getting a signal????

    It would appear that he did remain unlocked, as "phone, SMS" work. I'm curious who is your carrier?

    I just ran the update on my 1.1.2 phone to 1.1.3 with ATT chip. The phone was unlocked but I received no signal and I am now in the process of reverting back because the phone is unable to make or receive calls.

    when 1.1.1 came out but before it was jailbroken, IPSF claimed that radio unlock survived:

    Q. How do you know it is unlocked if you can't activate?
    A. There are several ways to know this. Firstly, the phone does not report "Incorrect SIM". Secondly the IMEI is correct. Thirdly if you bring up the field test, you can see the provider is not AT&T. And finally (and coolest of all), there are ways to actually call out and receive calls from the emergency call screen. If you can get the baseband to crash (we do it by calling some emergency numbers with no sim in place) and then insert the non AT&T sim, it can pick up a signal and calls (non-emergency) can be placed and received from the emergency call screen on the non AT&T carrier.

    Can someone that upgraded an IPSF unlocked phone to 1.1.3 check a non-ATT SIM for the things described above, to see if radio unlock survived?
