I own a 1.1.2 OTB which I jailbreaked and unlocked. It is runnin now on 1.1.1 vers.
All worked fine till I decided to charge the battery as it was almost flat.
When plugged the charging cable and switched back on the iphone, BIG SURPRISE: the screen went white and remained so.

The Iphone is still alive, I can slide to unlock, and click on the touch screen guessing where they are, as I can see anything due to this blody white screen layer.
Funny enough the white screen layer covers only part of the screen: I can see clearly the top head where clock and operator signal are.

I tried to reboot many time. DFU mode and tried to restore on 1.1.1 but is giving me erros "unable to restore, 1015 error" and even if try to kickit off with IBrickr, it does reboot (red back ground) but the white screen is still there :-(

using:
- Windows Vista
- Itunes 7.5 (ituneshelper killed)
- Ibrickr v0.91

Any idea on how to solve the problem? Is it software or hardware caused?

I upgraded to 1.1.3, no error, BUT the white screen is still there :-(
I did the upgrade both through Itunes 7.5, and with a local firmware file. No success, the white screen is still there.
Any other suggestion ?

Upgrade that bad boy to 1.1.3 it will fix it if its a software issue and then go about the jailbreaking and unlocking if you need it..

btw what are the errors you are getting when you restore to 1.1.1 ... always give details on errors and any codes you get.. also what version you are using and if you are on pc or mac.. these things help determin whats going on...

Just tried to restore 1.1.1 again, everything went fine, booted with iBrickr but the white screen is still there.
I am going to try now 1.1.3 like you say, I was just in doubt if I should try first the 1.1.2.
Will give updates soon.
