Default [1.1.2 OTB] What reason do we have to not settle with it ?

Hi, I know people are waiting for a software unlock because they want to be able to 1) get it free, and 2) be able to do future updates (instead of buying a *sim that doesn't update later). But, what is the advantage of getting future updates?

I know with 1.1.3 you can move around icons, but that means you'd have to remove springboard hacks right? Are the updates really necessary? Is there any real big advantage that we could possibly look forward to in future firmwares? I can't really think of anything else I'd expect from a smartphone...

I think the ones that are crying for the unlock are people in countries that do not have AT&T service. I have mine on a pay as you go plan and for what I use the phone for, that works just fine. I got into this for the fun of it, not so that my iphone can be my primary phone. IMHO, the iphone is good for everything but use as a phone. It is bulky when help up to your ear. I like the razr as far as making calls. I like the iphone for the extras.
