Unhappy [1.1.2 OTB Unlocked w/ Next SIM] I experiencing several problems after the unlock..

I have to admit - it has been quite the journey with my iPhone since the day I got it. I went from absorbing the tons of information out there on how to unlock the phone, the actual unlock, a hardware issue and RMA to Apple, and the whole thing all over again with the new phone.

The Next SIM I bought worked just fine by following one of the many guidelines out there however, almost immediately I noticed some bugs. I was wondering if any of you are experiencing the same issues like me and if there is a known fix for any of them:

    1. Every time I power on my iPhone I have an indication that I have a new voice mail...which I don't. I have to dial the voicemail number and leave the phone like that for few seconds in order for that notification to disappear. Annoying, but not the end of the world... I'd love to fix it if I can

    2. The second and bigger problem I am experiencing is with Yahoo Mail and EDGE. I configured my mail account with no problems and I started to receive messages just fine. I sent a few test e-mails and they went fine also. Yesterday I wrote two e-mails from the iPhone to a friend of mine asking a question about something. I was wondering why he did not reply, but I figured he might have been busy at that moment...unfortunatey NOT! He never GOT the e-mails. There were not into my Sent box also although I did send them. I tried again. Nothing. I had to power off the phone and power it back on in order to make it working again. I figured It might have been something with the phone and the reboot fixed it. However it must have been just temporary, because later today the same thing happened!!! I returned that phone to Apple today due to a different problem (dead pixel) and I jailbreaked, unlocked the new one I got as a replacement hoping that I will not have a problem with this one and that the problem might have been caused by one of the numerous apps I had installed....well, NO - same thing happened with the new phone on the second e-mail I tried to send!!!!!

Is that a known problem??? Is there a fix for it? This is extremely important for me (working e-mail) and was the primary reason for me to buy an iPhone!!!

So far those are the only two problems/bugs I am seeing after the NextSIM unlock, but to be honest I am afraid to look any further.... Will keep you posted if I find something else, but please, please let me know if there is a fix out there for the problems listed above!
