[1.1.2 OTB] Turbosim, People call me but the phone shows nothing
Hello everybody!
I've been using my iphone for one month now.. without any apparent problem. It was a 1.1.2 OTB unlocked with a turbosim. I receive and make calls.
Now the thing is that I've been told by some friends, that they call me, the phone rings and I'm not answering, but I don't have any lost call and the phone didn't ring. This is happening a lot of times, apparently, and I'm loosing important calls because of that. I really don't understand why.
I'm really desperate, as I don't want to change my phone now.
Did you hear something about SOME, not all calls being lost? I can't lost some important calls from work, as you can imagine...
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks in advance!

I've been told the same thing for 2yrs now with Fido - long before I switched to iPhone, supposedly they call me and there is no answer from me... I then tested it a few times by calling myself from my home phone and other phones and with some relatives. Everyone got through to me just fine, so I've figured it's an intermittent problem with the cell network. Having nothing to do with your handset. So, I'd recommend making a few calls to yourself and see if your phone rings. If it does, but others still can't get through, just call your cell company and bitch about how you're not getting all the calls. It has most likely nothing to do wih your iPhone.

A few year back I purchased a very expensive mobile in Italy that was not available in my home country Ireland. The handset worked fine in Italy, France and the UK, however in Ireland I had the very same issues, very few could contact me.
I returned the handset had it checked and it was fine. The final verdict on it was that it was a network issue, i.e the handset was not compatible with my Irish provider. For this reason I only purchase phones now that I know are supported. Hopefully the iPhone will be announced on Tuesday so I can buy one as soon as possible
