[1.1.2 OTB] Stuck in DFU. Infinite loop! I could really use some help.
I have an 1.1.2 OTB iphone. I downgraded, jailbreaked, upgraded to 1.1.2 and jailbreaked again. I was waiting for an unlocking solution like many others. Today i wanted to check my BB version using bbupdater. So i winscp'd and unloaded the CommCenter and issued a 'bbupdater -v' Then it got stacked there.
After i rebooted (like 10 minutes later) I got a weird pattern flashing on my iphone. Then all it did was an infinite booting. I then managed to go into DFU and restored 1.1.1. After the restore was complete i got the 1015 expected error and the iphone still is in DFU. Itunes says that i'm in recovery mode.
Now, should i restore using the 1.1.2 FW or do something else.
Did I break my precious?
use the ibrickr v0.9 to boot the phone to springboard..
iPhone 4 (ios 4.1, simfree, jailbroken)
Thanks, that worked!
I've jailbroken it and now I installed BSD subsystem but i cant find 'oktoprep' in the package list. Why is that? Does that mean that i can go straight to a 1.1.2 FW upgrade? and if so I have a local copy of the 1.1.2 FW. If i do a shift restore and load that file will that be ok or should i do a normal restore(without shift) ?
Thank you again
Ok, i updated the sources list. I can see oktoprep now and i'm installing it.
Edit: What about my shift+restore question ? I dont want to waste more time downloading the 1.1.2 from apple
Edit 2: Ok i just did a shift upgrade and then jailbroken it again. Everything worked. Thanks aakash for the ibrickr tip
