[1.1.2 OTB] "No Sim Card" error even AT&T SIM inside
My AT&T card is inside the phone. The above sentense shown in my iphone in first time after I put my Hypercard inside the iPhone -'No Sim card inserted'. After i put inside again my AT&T card and slide to unlock, in the emergency call, i can't proceed to unlocking it. After i key in *#307#, it showed 'Error performing request SIM not inserted'. After i connect the iphone to itunes, it showed:
"The iPhone cannot be used with iTunes because the SIM card is not installed. You must insert your SIM card into your Iphone in order to activate it".
And I can't proceed further.
I have restored my iPhone many times (SIM/NO SIM inside). But the problem still occured.
I think my baseband is erased.
My iPhone came with version 1.1.2. The 4th and 5th digit of my serial No. is 48.
Please advise for alternative way for jailbraik or install Oktopred in no wifi way.
Restore to 1.0.2 is not possible (waiting for the iphone loop).
Your advise is much appreciated.
I have the same problem.
I sold an iPhone to a friend, and they broke the TurboSim.
They also messed around with the restore feature in iTunes.
So, once I got it back, I restored to 1.1.2
Then downgraded to 1.1.1
Then, made sure the original AT&T card was in the iPhone.
Then did the *#307# trick - but it reports the same error as
the person above:
"Error performing request SIM not inserted"
Is there anyway to resolve this issue? Seems we are stuck if
we can't get to the contact menu, to move into jailbreak ...
Hi, I had this problem and one of the dev's on irc pointed me in the right direction, it's not good news.
The problem was caused on the removal of the hyper-card, the card caught the reset pin on the sim reader and ripped it completely off. The phone still operates with legacy sims but not with new 3g/2.5g hybrid sims which are the norm nowdays. I hope this is not the case for you guy's but fear it probably is.
