    Default [1.1.2 OTB] jailbreaking problems

I've got two iPhones, both brought in USA: one (the activated one) brought around the 29th of Dec 07, the other one, the one that is giving me troubles has been brought on the 4th of Jan. Both are, of course OOB 1.1.2: one is activated and jailbroken, the second (mine) doesn't want to jailbreak!
I performed the downgrade to 1.1.1, then fallowed the guide, but jailbreakme.com seems that it doesn't menage to jailbreak my iPhone! Infact it doesn't restart automatically.

Please, can someone help me? I really don't want to waste 400!

    Hi, welcome to Hackint0sh.

please use the search for Jailbreak and read the unlock stiky.

This is a known issue, people solve the problem by resynchronizing (not update or restore) in iTunes everytime the jailbreak fail and try again and resync again retry until it works.

Although that never seemed to work for me, so I just used toc2rta, then jailbreak, then did some extra ssh stuff to fix the 300mb thing.

I can't syncronize my iPhone since it's not activated....
Now i've restored it back to 1.1.2, and now i'm downgrading again.
Moreover i noticed that i'm not able/(allowed?) to restore 1.0.2, i wanted to try if iNdependence could work: infact iTunes stucks at "waiting for iPhone" (2 - 3 moments later when i choose 1.0.2 by clicking on restore and pushing ALT button).

(i'm sorry if i didn't use search....i opened i new post since i got one iPhone activated with jailbreakme.com, and another iPhone that doesn't activate with the same method, a little strange...)

just keep trying, or you can use CARNAVAL method, it's not a major problem

But CARNAVAL installs anySim...that doesn't work on 1.1.2 OOB (i've ordered a stealth for this)...
