Hello everybody

Although I just registered at the forum, I've been reading posts here for months but I haven't found how to keep my iPhone running at it's full speed, since it's getting slower and slower as I install more apps. Does it have to be reformatted just like a normal pc or maybe there is another way? Another question I have is that, if I format my pc, will I loose everything on my iPhone the next time I sync it even if I have my music/pictures again on my computer?

yes. syncronizing your iphone on pc (with itunes) will removed your media files if its not detected by itunes and the corresponding media folder. So befre you di a reformat on your pc, make a back up copy of your media files first for safety.

dont install so many apps. remember these are things people are making on thier own NOT apple. IMHO alot of them have poor memory usage, memory leaks, inefficient, improperly managed threads, ect (no offense to the app community BUT these are hacks, iphone isnt well documented when it comes to programming and some of you cant be bothered to write clean code)

obviously there are some well written apps out there, so either you enjoy your hacks and suffer with the slow down or dont install apps.

One other thing I would like to add

The screen themes applications like (Summerboard, Springboard, .. etc )
Also seams to put strains on the IPhone performance, Hopefully this gets better when it comes natively with the IPhone fw like what will happen in 1.1.3

But generally I hade to uninstall them for better performance.
